Town of Haxtun Technology Accessibility Statement
The Town of Haxtun is committed to providing equitable access to our services to all Coloradans. The Town has implemented a plan to prioritize, evaluate, remediate, and continuously improve digital touchpoints within our services, programs, and activities.
Compliance
Our ongoing accessibility effort works towards being in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, level AA criteria. These guidelines not only help make technology accessible to users with sensory, cognitive and mobility disabilities, but ultimately to all users, regardless of ability.
Our ongoing efforts are just a part of a meaningful change in making all Town of Haxtun services inclusive and accessible. We welcome comments on how to improve our technology’s accessibility for users with disabilities and for requests for accommodations to any Town of Haxtun services.

Future Enhancements
We are committed to continuous improvement. As technology evolves, we will enhance our website’s accessibility features.
Progress to Date
Our efforts to date include remediating documents, ensuring strong contrast between text and background colors separating foreground from background colors, providing alternate text for images, establishing meaningful sequences, and maintaining logical reading and navigation order.
We have made progress since HB21-1110 passed considering substantial challenges to the Town, such as:
- Limited budget
- Two administrative FTE’s that manages the website, documentation, procurement, and communications.
